WELCOME TO 1984 // 2020 : PUNK ON THE WESTERN FRONT FEBRUARY 29 - MARCH 28, 2020
Destroy Art Inc. and Art Attack SF is pleased to present Welcome to 1984 // 2020 : Punk on the Western Front - a multi-format, multi-generational group art show featuring dedicated visual and musical veterans of the punk rock music scene. The show will be on view at Art Attack SF’s gallery space on 2358 Market St Ste #1, San Francisco, for one month, from February 29, 2020 to March 29, 2020. The exhibition features never-before-seen photographs and assemblage sculptures by the acclaimed photo-documentarian Edward Colver (Los Angeles), selected works by the seminal maestro of Surrealist punk montage art Winston Smith, Rikk Agnew (Social Distortion, Adolescents, Christian Death), and the famed British anarcho-punk Dick Lucas (Subhumans, Citizen Fish, Culture Shock) and tributes to the recent passing of legendary photographer Murray Bowles (East Bay) and iconic punk graphic designer Dave King (UK). This roster of historically influential artists is supported by contemporary collage, painter and street artist Craig Vincent aka DNGRCT (The Degenerics, Kamikaze, Plastic Cross) alongside essence-capture photographers Matthew Kadi (Monster Squad, Great Apes) and Karoline Collins (Bay Area), and fabric silkscreen printer Jason Ruggles (Addicted to Chaos). The exhibition features a showcase collection of artworks by a multitude of emerging punk scene talents -
