In an attempt to bring the vintage tin robots to life without losing their charm, Eric showed them where they belonged: outer space.
Eventually he felt the toys needed something to play off of--perhaps a nemesis. After a month or so of searching for a ‘nemesis’, he had an epiphany while watching the movie Pleasantville. In one of the scenes, Jeff Daniels paints a still life -- of donuts. With thoughts of Wayne Thiebaud’s pastries close at hand, it wasn’t difficult to see the battle scene of robots retreating from 300-foot tall donuts when he went to bed that night. The rest, as they say, is history.
Eric and his artwork have made a cameo in the movie 'Group Sex' and is seen on the sets of some TV show such as: The Big Bang Theory, Zoey 101, Zeke and Luther, I Carley & a new pilot called 'The way we live.'
Eric was born in 1960 in San Mateo, CA, and currently resides in San Francisco.
