"Puku Puku Bubbles" Opening Reception

By Ashley L. Voss

Thank you for joining us this past Thursday at Art Attack SF for the "Puku Puku Bubbles" Opening Reception featuring the work of Harumo Sato during the Castro Art Walk! The exhibition is on view through September 2nd, 2018. Gallery hours are Wednesday-Sunday, 12-8pm. Preview Harumo's artwork on our website!

Harumo Sato is not afraid of color! In her work, Harumo often juxtaposes vibrant hues to embrace the light-hearted feeling of playfulness and cheer— even when the subject matter embodies a dark theme. "Using colors is like living in the moment," says Harumo. "The brightness of the color is most powerful when it is freshly paintined. Like life, it is not eternal." Harumo Sato is a California-based, Japanese visual artist who earned a Bachelors degree from the University at Buffalo in 2015.

Special thanks to Amy Tam for capturing the event!

Save the date for the next Castro Art Walk
on Thursday, September 6th from 6-9pm!
